Pubs: Nearly all the decent ones (Wood St, Masons Arms, etc) have shut in recent years. Only 2 decent ones left - The Plough (on right hand 500yds after rail station as you head into town) and the Racehorse - half mile from the ground at the top of East Reach, other side of the town centre. Try any of the Exmoor Ales in the Plough. They also have cracking selection of draught cider.
It is about a mile from station to ground - but a mile and a half if you go through the town centre for pubs/chippies.
Admission: £7 normally, but £8 on Saurday as such a big game!
Chippy: Best is Smileys - almost opposite The Racehorse on East Reach. There is a burger van at the ground, and bottled Old Speckled Hen in the clubhouse.
Form: Mixed start for us two - 3 wins out of 3 on the road, but we've just picked up 1 point from 3 home games.

Bear in mind its the Pro-40 Semi-Final v Essex on Saturday, which unfortunately will knock a lot off our gate (typical TTFC luck). Not sure what time that starts, but if its early afternoon (or rain delayed start) the town centre pubs will be heaving at lunchtime.

Hello Taunton.

I've few questions for you. There's a few of us going up on the train and we're going to make a day of it.

How much is admission to your ground? Because I can't seem to find it on your website.

What's the food like at your ground and how much is a pint?

Any good local ales to sample?

How far is the train station from the town centre?

Are there any good pubs in the town centre or on the way to the ground?

Any good takeaways/Chippys that are a reasonable distance from the town centre or ground?

Or is there any good sights to see on Taunton?

I'm praying for good weather because i'm really looking forward to coming to your corner of Somerset. How has your season been thus far? Ours has been indifferent, we've lost our last few but we've been playing OK to be honest.

Just had a text from Cloughie, he will be back from hospital tomorrow afternoon. He has mastered the crutches so they will now allow him home. It will be a big relief to everyone to see him home and when he feels well enough to come to the ground i hope everyone gives him the welcome back he deserves.

Just spoken to Cloughie and he hopes to be coming home tomorrow, he is still having a lot of morphine for the pain but sounded ok. I am sure everyone wishes him a full and speedy recovery and we as a club will give him all the support he needs in his rehabilitation.

Very gutsy win against a side previously 100%. First time we've beaten them in a decade. Had to withstand a lot of pressure - two amazing goal-line clearances by Macca. But unbelievable goal by Cole to put us two up. Rice sent off at end.

Cloughie had the operation late last night and it went well. Spoken to his Dad this morning and he is in better spirits and is hungry which is always a good sign! He will be up and about on crutches today but will probably not be discharged until Wednesday. We are not sure at the this stage if the tibia was pinned or a rod inserted, the fibula has been knitted together. As soon as we know more we will let you know.

well said Aston we are all behind him, he's just gone down for the op, i believe one is a clean break the other will need a rod. We should have some news later and we wish James all the best and will do everything we can do support him.

I wouldn't say it was a goalkeeping error. That was a wicked bounce in front of the keeper. Buts should never have turned back into the middle whilst defending on the edge of the box though.
