Mangrotfield 4 Taunton 0 FT (General Discussion)

Like Woody Has Said - We Can Do The Basics Right - Totton Etc - But To Often Don't.

The Same Scenario Arises In Relation To Killing Time And A Lack Of Naivety. Having Twice Been Two Up We Have Conceded In Quick Succession, But Not Looked To Kill The Game Off. Today Mangotsfield Did It At 1 - 0, While I Remember Paulton Doing The Same Thing At Our Place Earlier In The Year.

That’s Not Naivety Its Common Knowledge Which Players Don’t Seem To Be Putting Into Practice. Another Area Is The Lack Of Communication On The Field, For Example Today Craig Was Attempting To Hold The Ball Up, Yet Nobody Was Talking To Him Giving Options.

I Can Stand Players Not Being The Best, I Myself Play With Better Players Than Me, But Give More Effort Than Anyone Else To Make Up For It. No Offence Intended To Alexis Piper He May Not Be The Best Technically But Will Sure As Hell Work Hard For The Ball And Put His Body On The Line, Same As John Harris And James Clough.

The Problem Is Its Either The Same Few Or The Odd Individual Having A Good Game, Not The Team As A Whole.

Another Area That Must Be Raised Is Discipline. Today With The Little Scrap At The End Involving the Anthony’s - As Much As I Like Lloyd And He Is a Superb Keeper - Why The Hell Is He Running Half The Field To Get Involved, I Suppose It Shows He Cares, But Others Must Step In And Take Responsibility.

Something Missing All Over The Field. Lets Hope As And When Chris McGrath Is Fit He Will Bring Some Much Needed Stability And Experience To The Back Four, Because At The Moment Its Chaos And Panic Every Time The Ball Is Back There.
